  • Manage multiple deadlines and deliverables for various grant proposals concurrently.
  • Conceptualize and execute high-quality, cogent, and clear written applications, translating complex scientific content into terms that appeal to both expert and general scientific reviewers.
  • Assist with assembling scientific documents for each grant, including large institutional grants, annual reports, and progress reports for awarded grants.
Requirements:
  • PhD preferred; Master's degree in biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or other life sciences required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of scientific writing experience, preferably in a healthcare, research, or academic environment.
  • Proven experience in writing grants, including NIH SBIR proposals or other funding mechanisms.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to perform literature searches and critically evaluate scientific content.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple concurrent projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a curiosity and inquisitiveness in research methodology.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to handle changing priorities and multiple deadlines while maintaining high-quality final products.
  • Ethical practice with personal and professional integrity, building trust and rapport with clients and team members.
