Insurance Coverage Attorney
\nHybrid – New York City
\n$150,000–$230,000
\n \nIf you've built your experience in insurance coverage but you're starting to think about better-quality work, more variety and what the next stage of your career could look like , this opportunity is worth exploring.
\n \nYou don't have to be actively looking. Sometimes it's simply worth knowing whether there's something better out there.
\n \nThe Opportunity:
\nI'm working with a highly regarded mid-sized New York City firm that's continuing to grow its Insurance Coverage practice.
\n \nThis is an opportunity to work on sophisticated and varied coverage matters across CGL, D&O, E&O, EPL, professional liability, commercial property & casualty and more.
\n \nThe role is hybrid , and you'll have the chance to take real ownership of your matters while working alongside an experienced team on interesting, complex coverage issues.
\n \nWhat Will You Actually Be Doing?
\nYou'll be involved across the full lifecycle of coverage matters, combining detailed policy analysis with hands-on litigation and direct client interaction.
\n \nYour work will include:
\nIt's a good mix for someone who enjoys the technical side of coverage work but still wants to be actively involved in litigation and client relationships.
\n \nWho Are They Looking For?
\nIdeally, you'll have 2–8 years of insurance coverage and policy analysis experience , alongside a strong understanding of coverage disputes and policy interpretation.
\n \nYou'll need admission to the New York and/or New Jersey Bar , while Pennsylvania admission would be an advantage.
\n \nThey're particularly interested in attorneys with strong research and writing skills and experience handling litigation from inception through trial.
\n \nWhy Consider It?
\nBecause your next move should give you something more than a salary increase.
\nMore sophisticated matters. Broader coverage exposure. Hybrid flexibility. Strong client contact. And the opportunity to keep developing within an established practice.
\nCompensation is $150,000–$230,000 depending on experience.
\n \nIf you've started wondering whether there's a firm out there that might offer you a better long-term fit, I'd be happy to tell you more.
\n \nSend me your resume and I'll talk you through the firm, the team and what the opportunity could look like for you.
\n \nAnd if this particular role isn't quite right, I work with firms across the East Coast and would be happy to have a confidential conversation about what you're looking for next.
\n \nIf you'd rather talk than apply, call me on 332 777 6411. I know court appearances, depositions and the small matter of actually billing your hours don't always leave much room in your day.
