Sales (Local Government)

Help us bring SwiftGov to cities and counties across the country. This is a hands-on role at a fast-moving startup, covering the full cycle: managing inbound, running targeted outbound, moving deals to close, and staying involved with the jurisdictions we bring on.

SwiftGov builds AI-native systems for local government, helping public agencies work faster and serve their communities better. Our work with governments like Hernando County, Jacksonville, and Walton County has earned national recognition, including the APA/NACP Award of Excellence. For the right person, this is a chance to take a proven product into new territory and work directly with the founders, early in a category they are helping define: AI for local government, built in America.

What you'll do:

• Manage and qualify inbound interest from cities and counties
• Run targeted outbound to the jurisdictions we want to reach
• Run discovery and demos with government teams
• Manage RFP responses end to end, in coordination with our team
• Help manage the CRM and keep the pipeline and follow-ups disciplined
• Use AI as a force multiplier across your workflow
• Stay involved after the sale with light account management, not just sell and leave

What we're looking for:

• Excellent communication, written and spoken
• Strong organization and follow-through
• A team player who thrives in a small, fast-moving company
• Comfort demoing software, plus familiarity with AI tools or a genuine willingness to learn to use them effectively
• Helpful, not required: some sales or sales-admin experience, government or public sector sales experience, and familiarity with permitting, planning, or development.

What will make you stand out:

• Demonstrated AI fluency, you already use these tools to work faster and sharper
• A track record of winning people over and getting things across the line, in sales, business development, government, or wherever it has counted
• Familiarity with local government, permitting, planning, regulatory compliance and/or real estate development

We care more about ability and drive than pedigree, and we are open to strong candidate from unconventional backgrounds.

How we hire: We review every application and reach out to the candidates we would like to talk with. Expect a short intro call, a conversation or two with the team, and a practical exercise so we can see how you work. We are a small team and cannot respond to everyone individually, but every application is read.

Remote (US). Full-time. Some travel required.

Compensation: competitive base plus uncapped commission, with significant upside for high performers.
