About the Position

Job Title

Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Location

Akron, OH | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Perform scrub technologist duties in an active operating room environment
Assist surgical teams throughout a variety of operative procedures
Maintain sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies
Complete required facility orientation modules and assessments prior to start and annually as required
Adhere to all facility compliance standards, including background check and drug screening requirements

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 12 months of permanent OR Surgical Technologist experience required
Active NBSTSA Certification (CST) required and must be in hand at time of submission — no pending certifications accepted
Active permanent Ohio state license or compact license required and must be in hand at time of submission
One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from within the past 12 months required — co-worker references will not be accepted
Must have no open background check cases or license hits
Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience gained within a single facility or location preferred
Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments
Prior travel contract experience in a surgical services setting
