Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team for a first shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM, and Friday, 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM. This role involves working in a job shop environment, specializing in MIG welding of light gauge polished stainless steel and MIG welding on carbon steel.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on light gauge polished stainless steel, specifically 16 and 14 gauge.
• Handle MIG welding tasks on carbon steel.
• Grind and polish welds to create smooth finishes suitable for paint and pharmaceutical standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and welding.
• Work on production-style projects with multiple parts, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Contribute to the production of cross-hatch patterns for shelves designed to hold pallets.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques.
• Experience with welding light gauge polished stainless steel and carbon steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Capability to perform welding tasks to meet food and pharmaceutical standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a custom job shop environment.
• Skills in grinding and polishing welds.
• Knowledge of creating polished and blended welds to match #3 grained surfaces.

Work Environment

The work environment is a brand new, super clean, and air-conditioned facility. You will be part of a small team of about 15 people, working in a comfortable and collaborative setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilson, NC.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
